I had to own this CD , because Biz was one of many rappers that I enjoyed listening to during my teen years! This CD has all of his classic hits, even the gross but kind of funny ones like "picking buggers".. I listened to every single song , and enjoyed a feeling of nostalgia , that you experience when you hear songs that you have not heard in many years!

It was a nice stroll down hip hop memory lane! I'm happy to have it as part of my old school hip hop CD collection! Biz Mark will go down as one of the most underated MC's ever. It took some time to get due to overseas but worht it! I love this album. My personal favorite of Biz Markie's. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. This album is a classic. referencing Goin' Off, LP, Album, 92 One of the most underrated hip hop albums. Fresh beats, stunning great production, classic samples and histrionic presence of Biz Marky made an incredible collection of small but shiny gems such as "Vapors", "Biz goin' off" and the hilarious "Pickin' boogers" the tune that open the dance.

  1. View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the CD release of The Best Of Cold Chilin' on Discogs/5(12).
  2. These two cds were Biz at his best. Goin' Off featuring the vastly underrated TJ Swan and Biz Never Sleeps perfectly captures the Emmazaa-A-R-KIE reaching his zenith. My Man Rich, Biz in Harmony, Things Get Easier, Make the Music, Albee Square Mall, etc. There's probably only two songs maximum that didn't age well between the two LPs/5(5).
  3. The Cold Chillin' class clown, Biz Markie debuted with "Goin' Off", one of the most unrelentingly amusing sets of productions and performances of anyone during Hip Hop's golden age. Markie was an oversized teenager with lyrical talents (if not finesse) far beyond his years, and material unlike every other rapper around, trading in nightclubs for the mall and striking a pose for picking your nose/5(36).

  5. This Cold Chillin' compilation sets the record straight. As a member of the stylistically diverse Juice Crew, the formidable clique that included Big Daddy Kane 's slick debonairness, Roxanne Shante 's defiant b-girl stance, and the tales of hard-knock raconteur Kool G. Rap, Biz Markie's clown-prince character more than held his own/5(8).
  6. Led by Marl 's raw, drum-heavy tracks and great scratching, The Best of Cold Chillin' is a definitive look back for rap fans, gathering 17 tracks from the Biz 's four LPs for the label and wisely balancing trademark hits like "Just a Friend" and "Vapors" with rare, early material like the solo human-beatbox number "One Two."10/
  7. Biz Markie rightly deserves his acclaim, both for his influence on the genre of hip-hop and as an artist in his own right. To be fair though, "Goin' Off" is not without its problems. While Biz for a time could be said to own New York's airwaves with his singles, his full length album showed a little less consistancy.
  8. Biz Markie was straight macking it on this one, he totally went all out on the mackalicious factor. The best song is definetly "You got what I need", its an absolute classic, another track you can pump up in your local discotech is "Albee Square Mall" if you don't love that one, your not from the hood/5(7).
