Some of the recording dates were in while others appear to be more recent.
To the student of Louis Armstrong, this CD is a great opportunity to feel his solos and what he was expressing to the world at the time. The re-mastering cannot bring the album up to current sound quality; however, there is no scratching or background noise on the recording. I enjoy it and hope you will. If you like Louis Armstrong, this a good reproduction of his music. Considering the age of some the originals congratulations are in order.
